People's Coalition for Food Sovereignty (KRKP) is a non-profit organization that was born out of concern for the problems of hunger and food producing peasants. KRKP established as a medium for the achievement of the right to food approach to food sovereignty locally, nationally and internationally through advocacy, research, pengembanga capacity and strengthening national and international networks.

FOCUS ACTIVITIES

Based on the priority issues, KRKP will develop activities such as:

- Develop and organize dialogue and sharing among representatives of various people's organizations and NGOs to develop cooperation in strengthening the people's movement for realizing food sovereignty in Indonesia.
- Monitoring and review of policies and their effects on people's food system.
- Collect and disseminate best practices and lessons learned on food sovereignty through various media.
- Facilitating dialogue, lobbying, public consultation and action in the framework of food policy advocacy.
- Collect and distribute information related to the policies and people's food problem to the participants and other parties.

WORK PROGRAM

- Monitoring and Assessment of Indonesian Food Situation
- Monitoring international policy, national and regional as well as its influence on people's enjoyment of the right to food and food systems of the people in Indonesia.
- Advocacy and Campaigns
- Develop and disseminate ideas, concepts and strategies of food sovereignty as an effort to address the root causes of hunger and malnutrition Indonesian people to barbagai parties and advocacy to change food policies that favor of the interests of small farmers and the poor and gender justice perspective.
- Capacity Building
- Support for community organizations to increase their capacity to develop their own food systems in accordance with the conditions of ecological, social, economic and cultural characteristic respectively. The focus of the development of people's food system include:
- Access and control of the various sources of food production;
- Development of diverse food production systems and sustainable;
- Distribution system development and local marketing,
- Consumption of local food systems development and guarantee the fulfillment of diverse food needs sufficient, nutritious and safe all the time.
